Information Literacy
Information literacy is knowing why you need information, how to find and evaluate it, how to use it, and communicate -- all done ethically. |
The skills needed to become information literate include:
- Having a need for information
- Knowing how to find information
- How to find information in a library or electronically
- How to use the information such as note taking and citing sources
- How to organize your findings and begin to form your own opinions about your subject
- Your ethical responsibility while using information
- What is the best way to communicate what you found.
