Information Literacy

Information literacy is knowing why you need information, how to find and evaluate it, how to use it, and communicate -- all done ethically.

The skills needed to become information literate include: Having a need for information Knowing how to find information How to find information in a library or electronically How to use the information such as note taking and citing sources How to organize your findings and begin to form your own opinions about your subject Your ethical responsibility while using information What is the best way to communicate what you found.
